Sam McPheeters
Sam McPheeters (born 1969 in Lorain, Ohio) is an American musician, artist and journalist. Raised in Albany, New York and later relocated to New York City, McPheeters was a key member of the early 1990s hardcore punk scene, writing a number of zines (including Error and Dear Jesus) and singing in the hardcore band Born Against. His more recent musical projects include Wrangler Brutes and Men's Recovery Project and recording spoken word records. McPheeters also ran the now-defunct Vermiform Records. After residing in Richmond, Virginia, and Providence, Rhode Island, he currently lives in Pomona, California, and writes for local newspapers the OC Weekly and the Pomona Picayune. McPheeters' writing has also been featured in Vice Magazine and the Village Voice. He also frequently contributes artwork for the band the Locust.
